Audacy’s 100.3 The Bull in Houston Collects Over 71,000 Handwritten Cards for American Heroes
Audacy’s 100.3 The Bull (KILT-FM) in Houston collected over 71,000 cards and counting for millions of active soldiers just in time for July 4 during its third annual “10,000 for the Troops” radiothon. Local sponsors Grammy’s Cookie Convoy and Blue Star Moms Houston will send these messages of gratitude and encouragement overseas as part of care packages to service members.
“100.3 The Bull proudly honors our military’s service and sacrifice all year by fundraising, amplifying their stories, and through impactful support programs,” said Melissa Chase, Brand Manager, 100.3 The Bull. “We are impressed by the remarkable support from our listeners, who have exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t do it without our incredible Houston community, inspiring on-air personalities and their shared passion for helping our troops.”
“The Morning Bullpen” hosts George, Mo, and Erik spearheaded this project with the support of other 100.3 The Bull personalities, including Rob and Holly, Katie Neal, and Nick Russo.
Grammy’s Cookie Convoy ships big gourmet chocolate chip cookies and thank you cards to deployed service members. “Grammy’s Chocolate Chip Hugs” strives to provide a small piece of home for those who protect our nation.
Blue Star Moms Houston is a non-profit that promotes patriotism and uplifts the Armed Forces and their families by organizing and sending care packages.
“10,000 for the Troops” is a part of Audacy’s commitment to making a meaningful difference at scale. Audacy uses its reach and personal connection with listeners to advance causes that promote strong mental health and build sound communities.
