NEW YORK (May 26, 2021)—Cadence13, an Audacy company and leading premium podcast studio, today announced the launch of That Thing I Do, a weekly podcast hosted by 

Grammy-nominated bassist Este Haim and Primetime Emmy Award-winning actor Darren Criss on which the close friends will share their mutual love of music, pop culture, and more with special guests. 

Cadence13 Studios will be developing and producing the show with Haim and Criss. 

That Thing I Do will be a raucous deep dive into the funny and strange quirks of those successful people, and an investigation of what it is about “that thing they do” that makes them who they are. With a special focus on the “things that people do” that wider audiences may not be as familiar with, the duo will give their guests a venue to talk at length about their unknown passions and interests that other shows might not give them a chance to highlight. 

Grounded by Criss’ and Haim’s experiences not only as lifelong fans of the entertainment industry, but as professionals working within it, the wide-ranging conversations on That Thing I Do will be riddled with spontaneous song, kooky comedy, and all the things…they do.

Este Haim, along with her two sisters, make up the celebrated rock band HAIM. The multiple Grammy nominees are the first all-female rock group to be nominated in the prestigious Album of the Year category and earlier this month HAIM won their first BRIT award for Best International Group. HAIM’s latest album, Women In Music Pt. III, is lauded globally as one of the best albums released in 2020. This past weekend Este returned to the Glastonbury Festival stage, this time as a headliner.  This autumn HAIM will play 6 UK shows which concludes with a massive gig at London’s famed 02.

Este Haim is the Grammy-nominated bassist for her eponymous band HAIM with her two sisters. HAIM won the 2021 Brit Award for International Group. She is an NME Award winner (“Best International Band”), a World Music Award nominee, and an MTV Award nominee. HAIM’s album “Women in Music Pt III” (Expanded Edition) is out now.

Darren Criss is an Emmy and SAG award winning actor, musical artist, and songwriter. His acclaimed roles include American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace and FOX’s global phenomenon Glee. He is also the executive producer and creator of the new Roku Original series Royalties in which he stars and provided the original songs for. Criss’ newest single, “f*kn around” is out now.
