Audacy Plans 45 Volunteer Events Nationwide to Celebrate Earth Day as Part of Companywide 1Day1Thing Sustainability Initiative

Members of Audacy Team to Participate in Conservation Projects Across the Country

PHILADELPHIA, PA – April 17, 2024 — Audacy announced it will conduct 45 volunteer events nationwide to celebrate Earth Day as part of its 1Day1Thing Sustainability Initiative. The series of events, which will engage team members across the company, aims to positively impact the communities the company serves and the planet. Projects include tree planting, park and waterway cleanups, recycling projects and habitat restoration.

“We believe in the power of collective action to create positive change, and this unified mission to promote sustainability reminds us that one person doing one thing is good, but all of us doing our one thing together is better,” said Jaimie Field, Director of Sustainability, Audacy. “By engaging our team members nationwide and supporting local organizations, we aim to foster a healthier planet and stronger communities.”

Local partnerships include Habitat for Humanity in Dallas, Houston Botanic Garden in Houston, Hudson Square in New York City, Fairmount Park Conservancy in Philadelphia, Sawgrass Recreation Park in Miami and more. The Environment is one of three focuses of Audacy’s Social Impact strategy. Along with volunteerism, Audacy makes available $1 million in public service announcements for local organizations that support sustainability in their communities. This year, PSA grants have been made to organizations like Back River Restoration in Baltimore, Arc of Alachua County in Gainesville, Rice Creek Watershed District in Minneapolis and more.

Audacy also announced special programming to celebrate Earth Day and its commitment to the environment. The Company will host “Audacy Conversations: The State of The Environment,” a program focused on the environment, sustainability and the Company’s 1Thing initiative. Produced by Newsradio 1080 KRLD (KRLD-AM) in Dallas, the program will air April 18 at 7:00 p.m. local time across Audacy News and select News/Talk brands and be available nationwide via the Audacy app. Program content will include discussions around weather events across the country and what’s driving them, automobile energy efficiency and EPA emissions, what we learned from April’s solar eclipse and more.

Audacy’s 1Day1Thing efforts are a part of the Company’s commitment to making a meaningful difference at scale. Audacy uses its reach and personal connection with listeners to advance causes that promote strong mental health and build sound communities.
