One-Hour Town Hall to Focus on Austin’s Public Safety Staffing Initiative
WHAT: | Talk 1370 (KJCE-AM) in Austin and FOX7 Austin will partner to present “Let’s Talk Prop A,” a one-hour town hall leading up to the November 2 election. The town hall, which will take place live from the Talk 1370 studios, will be moderated by FOX 7 political reporter Rudy Koski and focus on Austin’s public safety staffing initiative. Matt Mackowiak, co-founder of Save Austin Now, and Austin City Council District 6 member Mackenzie Kelly will represent the pro Prop A side, while Scott Henson and Carmen Llanes of the “No Way On Prop A” campaign and Austin area Urban League’s Eric Byrd will represent the opposition to Prop A. “Our goal is to serve our local community as a broadcaster and we are excited to team up with FOX 7 to bring Austin voters the opportunity to hear about Prop A from various viewpoints in helping to make a decision on this city initiative,” said Bob Mackay, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Austin. |
