KYW Newsradio (103.9 FM and 1060 AM), an Audacy station in Philadelphia, has inducted two of its most respected and recognizable voices into the KYW Newsradio Hall of Fame. Reporter/Anchor John Ostapkovich and Business Editor/Anchor Vince Hill were selected by their peers and colleagues to join a distinguished roster of journalists who have shaped the legacy of trusted news in the Philadelphia region.

“This recognition speaks to the legacy of excellence that John and Vince have helped build at KYW Newsradio,” said David Yadgaroff, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Philadelphia. “Their voices have been a trusted part of daily life in the region for decades, and their dedication to storytelling, accuracy and integrity continues to resonate across our newsroom.”

Ostapkovich carved out a well-deserved reputation across the Delaware Valley as a creative and trusted anchor and reporter. Known for his razor-sharp wit and spot-on news judgment, his impact extended far beyond the microphone. He is a National Edward R. Murrow Award winner and a beloved mentor and teacher who trained and developed generations of journalists at KYW.

Hill’s journey at KYW began as a desk assistant in 1979, and by 22, he became the station’s first full-time African-American anchor and the youngest to ever hold that position. Over the years, he became a fixture on the airwaves as KYW’s respected Business Editor and Anchor. Hill taught Broadcast Newswriting at Temple University and served as a KYW Newstudies instructor, encouraging countless young journalists. Many current and former KYW employees credit him for giving them their start in the business, remembering his ability to make new colleagues feel welcome and his unwavering commitment to helping them excel on and off the air.

The KYW Newsradio Hall of Fame was created to celebrate individuals whose passion and talent have helped shape the station’s enduring legacy of trusted journalism. Ostapkovich and Hill exemplify the very best of KYW, a station built on integrity, mentorship and a deep connection to the Philadelphia region.

Listeners can tune in to KYW Newsradio (103.9 FM and 1060 AM) in Philadelphia on-air and nationwide on the Audacyapp and website. Fans can also connect with the station via X, Facebook and Instagram to stay updated on anniversary programming.
