Mega 101 FM Event Will Help Provide Proper Medical Attention for Children in the Community

PHILADELPHIA, PA – December 12, 2019 – Entercom, a leading media and entertainment company and one of the two largest radio broadcasters in the U.S., raised $408,193 to benefit Texas Children’s Hospital during Mega 101 FM’s (KLOL-FM) 9^th annual “Mega Radiothon.”

The “Mega Radiothon” was broadcast live from the Mega 101 FM studio from 5:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, December 5 and Friday, December 6. The event was also televised on Telemundo Houston (KTMD-TV). Programming included an interview with special guest and former patient at Texas Children’s Hospital, Leo, who shared his story with on-air host Liz Arreola.

All funds raised benefit Texas Children’s Hospital to offer services to children in the local community who would otherwise not have access to proper medical attention. Texas Children’s Hospital is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to create a healthier future for children and women by leading in patient care, education and research.
