92.9 The Game, the No. 1 Sports Talk Station in Atlanta, Remains Official Flagship Station of the Hawks

PHILADELPHIA, PA – January 31, 2020 – Entercom, a leading media and entertainment company and the unrivaled leader in sports radio, and the Atlanta Hawks announced a new multiyear contract extension of their broadcast partnership. The extension includes the broadcast of all 82 Hawks regular season and all postseason games on 92.9 The Game (WZGC-FM), the exclusive flagship home of the Atlanta Hawks since 2013, as well as 30-minute pre- and postgame shows. As part of the agreement, sister stations V-103 (WVEE-FM) and Star 94.1 (WSTR-FM) will provide additional promotional support.

Play-by-play announcer and ‘Voice of the Hawks’ Steve Holman will return for his 35^th season of broadcasting Hawks basketball. The four-time recipient of the Georgia Sportscaster of the Year Award by the National Sports Media Association has never missed a Hawks regular season or playoff broadcast. Mike Conti, the current play-by-play voice of Atlanta United FC, will host the station’s pregame and postgame coverage for all games, as well as join Holman as an on-air announcer for select game broadcasts.

In addition to game broadcasts, 92.9 The Game will also continue to air Hawks-themed programming as part of its weekday shows. Every Tuesday morning at 8:20 a.m. ET, “The Morning Show with John & Hugh” will speak with Hawks President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Travis Schlenk as part of the “Schlenk Report.” Every Thursday morning at 7:40 a.m. ET, the show will feature Hawks head coach Lloyd Pierce, who will break down the games for fans. Hawks Chief Executive Officer Steve Koonin closes the week out on “Catching up with Koonin,” Friday’s at 4:40 p.m. ET during afternoon show “Dukes & Bell.”
