El Zol 107.9 (WLZL-FM), an Audacy station in Washington D.C., raised over $100,000 during its 18th annual radiothon benefitting Children’s National Hospital, bringing the total amount raised to $5.7 million since its inception in 2007.
“For many families and children, the joy of the holidays is eclipsed by hardship. I am deeply thankful for our wonderful staff’s tireless dedication and for the generosity of our community, which allowed us to raise over $100,000 for local kids,” said Candy Cintron, Brand Manager, El Zol 107.9. “This contribution will ensure the hospital has the resources to deliver exceptional care, easing the journey for patients and their loved ones.”
The radiothon was broadcast on December 5 with station hosts Patri, Chepe, DJ Xplosive, Rey, Karen Vargas and DJ EZ encouraging listeners to donate. All proceeds go towards helping Children’s National Hospital’s mission to provide an innovative, high-quality healthcare experience for children and families and to improve health outcomes regionally and globally while ensuring equitable care for all.
