BIG 98.1 (WOGL-FM), an Audacy station in Philadelphia, raised $285,629 for the Child Life, Education and Creative Arts Therapy Department at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) during the 24th annual “Big 98.1 Loves Our Kids Radiothon.”

They bring comfort, strength and joy to kids and families during their most challenging moments,” said David Yadgaroff, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Philadelphia. “The BIG 98.1 Loves Our Kids Radiothon is a cherished tradition for our community and us, and it wouldn’t be possible without the tremendous generosity of our listeners and advertisers.” 

Morning show host Coop led the two-day radiothon on December 11 and 12. Throughout the broadcast, he shared interviews with patients and their families who have received care from CHOP. 

CHOP’s highly trained Child Life Specialists provide personalized support to children and families navigating illness, injury, or hospitalization. Their services include age-appropriate preparation and education, therapeutic play, creative arts therapies, emotional support, and more—helping young patients feel safe, informed, and empowered.
