Audacy’s B93.7 Collects Over 200 Purses of Essential Hygiene Products for Survivors of Domestic Violence in Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC – May 9, 2024 — Audacy’s B93.7 (WFBC-FM) collected over 200 secondhand purses filled with personal hygiene products for survivors of domestic violence in Greenville through “In The Clutch,” powered by Ingles. The campaign, led by midday host Torry Seward, partnered with the nonprofit organization MARYS House to positively impact the lives of women in need. The station loaded two van loads of bags and hygiene products with the help of local law enforcement officers and Ingles Markets.

“The Upstate’s kindness and generosity has truly blown me away. To the Mauldin, Greenville, and Laurens Police Departments, Ingles Markets, and my team here at B93.7, I appreciate your eagerness to get involved and offer space for donations,” said Seward. “The biggest blessing has been watching the community come together to fill MARYS House with supplies and give these women, who have already been through so much, one less thing to worry about.”

“As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting survivors of domestic violence, MARYS House extends its sincere gratitude for all the helpful donations,” said Kristina Smith, Executive Director, MARYS House. “Every contribution, whether big or small, has made a profound difference in the lives of those we serve. Your support has allowed us to offer a safe haven for survivors to regain their strength and rebuild their lives, free from fear and abuse.”

MARYS House works to create a safe and supportive environment for women facing physical, sexual, emotional, and economic abuse. While providing a safe place to stay, the nonprofit provides food, clothing, personal hygiene items, counseling, resources and referrals according to individual needs.

“In The Clutch” is part of Audacy’s commitment to making a meaningful difference at scale. Audacy uses its reach and personal connection with listeners to advance causes that promote strong mental health and build sound communities.
