PHILADELPHIA, PA – June 28, 2021 – Audacy announced a new weekday programming lineup for 96.9 The Eagle (KSEG-FM) in Sacramento. As part of the update, the station welcomes longtime market veteran Pat Martin to host mornings. Martin joins the station after serving as midday host for sister station 98 Rock (KRXQ-FM) for the last 33 years. He will be heard weekday mornings from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. PT, effective July 6.

I’ve been to their weddings, I’ve visited them in the hospital, I’ve been to funerals, I’ve hung out with them at concerts and drunk an untold number of beers with them. And now, as time marches on, it’s time for a new beginning. What an honor and privilege to join one of the nation’s great classic rock stations, and work alongside its legendary air staff. Martin joined 98 Rock in 1988 and has served as midday host ever since, while adding assistant program director and music director roles along the way. Prior to joining the station, Martin held various positions for KGB-FM in San Diego from 1977 to 1988 and KMET in Los Angeles in 1986.

The station also announces that afternoon show host Chris McCoy will be retiring, effective July 2. McCoy had served in this role since 2017. Justin Case, who had been serving as morning show host since station veteran Charlie Thomas retired in January 2021, will transition to afternoons to succeed McCoy.
