Audacy Raises Over $200,000 for Pediatric Care in Norfolk
PHILADELPHIA, PA – November 22, 2021 – Audacy raised $220,000 for pediatric care in Norfolk, VA through 94.9 The Point’s (WPTE-FM) 20th annual Radiothon to benefit Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD).

94.9 The Point morning show hosts Mike Powers and Woo Woo broadcasted live from the station studios from November 10-12 in effort to raise critical dollars for the region’s only children’s hospital. Radio listeners learned what makes a children’s hospital unique and heard stories of strength and resilience from CHKD patients and their families.
Since its inception 20 years ago, 94.9 The Point Radiothon has raised more than $5 million to purchase equipment, fund research, support patient care programs, and expand the mental health program at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.
