Audacy Celebrates: Black History Month
February is Black History Month, a time dedicated to honoring the triumphs and struggles of Black Americans throughout U.S. history. This year, we’re excited for Black History Month to officially kick off our 2023 Audacy Celebrates slate.
This month, we’ll present Black History Month capsules spotlighting inspirational stories from prominent Black Americans who have played key roles in shaping American History. Join us as we pay tribute and salute the most notable and influential Black leaders and heroes who have shaped our future. Throughout the month of February, our entire portfolio of brands, both on air and via the Audacy app, will run these :30 second features, which will feature:
- filmmaker and former film publicist Ava Duvernay
- former author, activist, and civil rights leader Coretta Scott King
- actor and filmmaker Denzel Washington
- former politician and the first African American woman in Congress Shirley Chisholm
- former actor, film director, and diplomat Sidney Potier
- former novelist Toni Morrison
