97.3 The Sky Recognizes Local Police and First Responders During 9th Annual SKY Valor Honors Program in Gainesville
97.3 The Sky (WSKY-FM), an Audacy station in Gainesville and Ocala, concluded its 9th annual SKY Valor Honors Program, an initiative that recognizes North Central Florida’s police and first responders for their dedication to protecting the community. The program ran throughout June and featured stories of heroism airing weekday mornings during “The Bob Rose Show.”
“It’s an honor to partner with our local agencies and celebrate the heroism, kindness and bravery of our law enforcement, fire rescue and emergency medical personnel,” said Nick Allen, Brand Manager, 97.3 The Sky. “We’re proud to recognize those who go above and beyond for our community every day, and this program allows us to shine a spotlight on their valiant work.”
To commemorate the end of the program, 97.3 The Sky invited all honorees, their families and supervisors to a reception and award ceremony hosted by morning show hosts Bob Rose and Greg Cassidy at the Best Western Gateway Grand Hotel on July 31. Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier made a special appearance and shared remarks saluting the work of these local heroes.
