Michelle Obama Joins Glennon Doyle, Abby Wambach and Amanda Doyle on “We Can Do Hard Things"

In an illuminating and inspiring conversation, the former first lady explores themes from her new #1 New York Times bestselling book The Light We Carry and accompanying new series “The Light Podcast”

New York, NY (March 28, 2023)—Audacy’s Cadence13 Studios today announced that former First Lady Michelle Obama sat down for an in-depth, intimate conversation with #1 New York Times bestselling author, activist, and thought leader Glennon Doyle, her wife Abby Wambach and her sister Amanda Doyle on their critically acclaimed podcast We Can Do Hard Things, for a special episode released today, March 28.

In her new book The Light We Carry and accompanying new podcast “The Light Podcast,” Michelle Obama shares practical wisdom and powerful strategies for staying hopeful and balanced in today’s highly uncertain world, exploring how to find ways to protect and rekindle our light, bring others into their own, and light up the world together. The Light We Carry, a #1 New York Times and USA Today bestseller, is an inspiring follow-up to her critically acclaimed, #1 bestselling memoir Becoming

Topics explored in the interview include: how to develop the one tool that has sustained Mrs. Obama throughout her entire life; how to identify whether you’re deeply satisfied or deeply stuck – and how to reach for the goal of living “comfortably afraid;” Mrs. Obama’s incredible father, Fraser C. Robinson III, and how he shaped her life; how to avoid what Mrs. Obama calls, “Getting lost in the battle of explaining yourself;” and how to live in your own “Enoughness”.

Michelle Obama served as First Lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017. A graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School, Mrs. Obama started her career as an attorney at the Chicago law firm Sidley & Austin, where she met her future husband, Barack Obama. She later worked in the Chicago mayor’s office, at the University of Chicago, and at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Mrs. Obama also founded the Chicago chapter of Public Allies, an organization that prepares young people for careers in public service. She is the author of the #1 global bestseller Becoming and the #1 national bestseller American Grown. The Obamas currently live in Washington, D.C., and have two daughters, Malia and Sasha.

Glennon Doyle is repped by WME.
