Star 102’s “2019 Rainbow Radiothon” Brings Contributions to Over $3.1 Million Since 2012

PHILADELPHIA, PA – December 16, 2019 – Entercom, a leading media and entertainment company and one of the two largest radio broadcasters in the U.S., helped to raise over $250,000 to benefit University Hospitals (UH) Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital during Star 102’s (WDOK-FM) “2019 Rainbow Radiothon” in Cleveland. Funds donated during the annual event helped bring the station’s radiothon contributions to over $3.1 million since 2012.

“2019 Rainbow Radiothon” was broadcast live from UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday, December 6. Throughout the event, Star 102’s morning show hosts Jen Toohey and Tim Richards showcased stories of love, hope and compassion featuring the hospital’s young patients and dedicated staff who care for them.

With nearly 1 million patient encounters per year, UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital provides nationally recognized pediatric care close to home. The money raised from the “Rainbow Radiothon” helps advance the personalized care the hospital can provide to its young patients.
