Entercom Honored With 10 2019 New York State Associated Press Association News and Broadcast Contest Awards

WCBS 880 and 1010 WINS in New York Recognized in 11 Categories Total

PHILADELPHIA, PA – May 29, 2020 – Entercom, a leading media and entertainment company and one of the two largest radio broadcasters in the U.S., is the proud recipient of 10 2019 New York State Associated Press Association News and Broadcast Contest Awards. WCBS 880 (WCBS-AM), New York’s trusted source for news and information, and 1010 WINS (WINS-AM) the most listened to news station in the nation, were recognized in 11 categories total. Among the awards is a first-place win in the podcast category for the sister stations’ first-time collaboration on “The Breakdown,” a powerful deep dive into America’s infrastructure crisis.

In addition, WCBS 880 received first place in eight categories, including “Outstanding News Operation, Radio I” for the second year in a row. 1010 WINS was awarded top honors in two categories. The stations received second place recognition in five categories collectively.
