Entercom Charlotte Hosts “WFNZ's 17th Annual Street Turkeys”

WFNZ’s Annual Food Drive to Support Second Harvest Food Bank and Loaves & Fishes

WHAT:	Entercom station WFNZ (WFNZ-AM/FM), Charlotte’s sports leader, is proud to host “WFNZ’s 17^th Annual Street Turkeys,” presented by RAM Pavement, Acosta Heating and Cooling, and SunTrust. The Charlotte station’s annual food drive will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and Loaves & Fishes. To kick off the drive, Entercom Charlotte has teamed up with local grocery store Harris Teeter, which will donate 3,000 pies, 1,000 turkey breasts, and a truckload of eggs equivalent to 29,000 meals. Additionally, via a collaboration with longtime WFNZ partner Charlotte Hornets, Food Lion will donate 500 turkeys. WFNZ will broadcast 13 hours of live programming encouraging listeners to donate turkeys, canned food, monetary donations and non-perishable items. The event will also feature appearances by Hornets players, the Honey Bees cheerleading team and team mascot Hugo.
