Boomer Esiason Headed to the Radio Hall of Fame
The Museum of Broadcast Communications has announced the eight inductees for the 2026 Radio Hall of Fame class, recognizing some of the industry’s most influential voices and executives — including WFAN morning show host and sports radio icon Boomer Esiason.
A cornerstone of mornings on WFAN for nearly two decades, Esiason has become one of the most recognizable and respected personalities in sports audio. The former NFL MVP successfully transitioned from the football field to broadcasting, helping shape the modern sports talk format through his work on “Boomer & Gio” and previously alongside Craig Carton on WFAN’s morning show.
Esiason’s induction highlights not only his longevity in the industry but also his impact on sports radio’s evolution and connection with listeners across generations.
The 2026 class also includes Dennis Green, Shotgun Tom Kelly, Helen Little, Bob Pittman, Rickey Smiley, Charlie Van Dyke and Fred Winston.
Honorees will be celebrated during the 2026 Radio Hall of Fame Induction ceremony on Oct. 8, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Museum of Broadcast Communications.
