Audacy’s Annual “I’m Listening” Broadcast Returns This September

Delivering Fresh Insights, Resources and Lifesaving Conversations, Broadcast Special Remains a Staple in Audacy’s Social Impact Commitment to Make a Meaningful Difference at Scale

PHILADELPHIA, PA – August 26, 2025 – Audacy’s initiative, “I’m Listening,” continues to lead the national conversation on mental health with its annual broadcast special. In recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10 and National Suicide Prevention Month, all Audacy stations nationwide will air the “I’m Listening” broadcast that week, uniting listeners nationwide to support mental health awareness and advocacy.

The program will engage artists, newsmakers and mental health professionals in conversations highlighting mental health resources and the lifesaving benefits of open communication. Audacy’s “I’m Listening” is a safe space for those struggling with mental health, encouraging them to learn about mental wellness tools and showing them that they are never alone.

Radio personality and co-host of NBC’s “TODAY” and host of “The Voice,” Carson Daly, and Audacy’s nationally syndicated Country host, Katie Neal, host of “Katie and Company,” will return to host the special. Returning again for 2025 are psychologist, scientist, philanthropist and founder of the mental health nonprofit, The AAKOMA Project, Dr. Alfiee “Dr. Alfiee” M. Breland-Noble; and the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Christine Yu Moutier. During the special, the group will set aside time to spotlight several areas, including social media and AI, kids and families, veterans and first responders, postpartum depression and more.

Celebrity guests include actress and singer Cynthia Erivo, Audacy LAUNCH artist Alex Warren, singer-songwriter Kane Brown, rapper, singer and actress LISA, singer and rapper JENNIE, singer-songwriter and musician Lewis Capaldi, singer-songwriter and actress Kylie Minogue, singer-songwriter Shirley Manson, singer-songwriter Tate McRae, rock band 311, record producer and songwriter Benny Blanco, singer-songwriter and musician Amy Lee, singer-songwriter Ne-Yo and more.

“We know firsthand radio’s unique superpower to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, and ‘I’m Listening’ reflects our unwavering commitment to showing how talk truly saves lives,” said Dave Richards, Senior Vice President of Programming, Audacy. “‘I’m Listening’ creates trusted, compassionate conversations that surround our listeners with both support and community. This broadcast stands as a companion in audiences’ mental health journeys nationwide, offering pathways to expression, vital resources, and a safe space to share stories with courage. We’re proud to bring this year’s program to listeners everywhere, harnessing the full strength of our platforms to foster connection and inspire hope.”

Beyond broadening the mental health conversation, Audacy has raised over $2 million in support of national and local organizations by collaborating with partners like AFSP on events and experiences, including the upcoming annual We Can Survive concert, starring Ed Sheeran, Goo Goo Dolls, Alex Warren and Shaboozey at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, on Friday, September 26. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit AFSP and their life-saving work of delivering education, loss support, advocacy efforts and community-based programs, including their ongoing public service campaign, “Talk Away the Dark,” which raises awareness of how to spot the warning signs for suicide and having real conversations that connect people to help.

Listeners can tune in to the “I’m Listening” live stream on-air across all Audacy stations and on the Audacy app and website. Check your local station website for the broadcast schedule and follow the conversation on X and Instagram using the hashtag #ImListeningLIVE.
