Audacy Supports Veterans Through “99.5 The Mountain’s Project Sanctuary - Helping Heroes Heal Radiothon” in Denver

5th Annual Radiothon Raises Over $100,000

DENVER, CO – November 15, 2022 – Audacy raised over $100,000 for Project Sanctuary during 99.5 The Mountain’s (KQMT-FM) “Project Sanctuary – Helping Heroes Heal Radiothon” in Denver. The amount donated during the 5th annual radiothon brought the overall fundraising total to over $250,000 since 2018.

“I’m so incredibly proud of the Mountain team and our loyal listeners coming together to help our veterans and their families with Project Sanctuary,” said Micah Goldberg, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Denver. “This radiothon further demonstrates the immense power of our medium with raising much needed funds for important causes in our communities.”

“99.5 The Mountain’s Project Sanctuary Radiothon™” was broadcast live on Veteran’s Day, November 11. Throughout the one-day event, programming featured interviews with servicemembers and veterans, their families and organization volunteers/counselors, who shared stories of hope, healing, and navigating through the family impact of service to our country.

Heather Ehle founded Project Sanctuary in 2007 while working as a registered nurse after she discovered no organization was helping the military family as a unit. Ehle founded the organization on the principle that when one person serves, the whole family serves, and the best way to support the troops was to create an organization supporting the entire family. What began as one retreat boot-strapped together in the mountains of Colorado has since grown into a national organization serving thousands of at-risk military families across the country. To date, Project Sanctuary has served more than 7200 military families through Therapeutic Retreats.

Audacy is committed to supporting the health and success of the communities that are the heart of its business. “99.5 The Mountain’s Project Sanctuary Radiothon™” is a part of Audacy Serves, the Company’s social impact platform that raises awareness of social issues and brings communities together for good.
