Audacy Portland’s 99.5 The Wolf Pays off Over $2.5 Million in Medical Debt
Audacy Portland helped pay off over $2.5 million in medical debt through 99.5 The Wolf’s Nick and Kristen’s Medical Debt Payoff campaign. In partnership with the national nonprofit charity RIP Medical Debt, this campaign has raised over $12 million over the past three years, paying off full medical debt for 8,589 people in the Pacific Northwest.
“We are so grateful to have a platform that allows us to help those in the most need. As the married morning show, we have experienced medical debt firsthand and have seen how it continues to plague our country and communities,” said Nick and Kristen, hosts of “Nick & Kristen in the Morning” on Audacy’s 99.5 The Wolf. “Our listeners continue to humble us in their support of our mission to free our friends and neighbors from crippling medical debt.”
Since the start of the campaign on November 8, Nick and Kristen have encouraged listeners to donate to alleviate the worries of struggling local families during the holiday season.
RIP Medical Debt is a charity that aims to strengthen communities by lifting the weight of strenuous medical debt.
Nick and Kristen’s Medical Debt Payoff campaign is a part of Audacy’s commitment to making a meaningful difference at scale by using its reach and personal connection with listeners to advance social causes and build sound communities.
