Audacy Partners With Superadio to Launch Throwback Hip-Hop Culture and Lifestyle Show on 94.7 The Block in New York and 104.3 Jams in Chicago
NEW YORK, NY – April 15, 2025 – Audacy has partnered with Superadio, an audio producer and distributor, to bring “rapfabulous,” a new two-hour classic Hip-Hop culture and lifestyle show that celebrates the format’s legacy, to 94.7 The Block (WXBK-FM) in New York and 104.3 Jams (WBMX-FM) in Chicago.
Hosted by Mic Fox and Jazzie Belle, the show will feature classic tracks, interviews with Hip-Hop legends and iconic moments in the format’s history. The show premieres on April 19 and airs weekly on Saturday mornings from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. CT on 104.3 Jams, Sundays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET on 94.7 The Block, and is available nationwide via the Audacy app.
“Since celebrating Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary, we saw how important it is to amplify the voices that shaped this influential genre,” said Skip Dillard, Format Vice President of Rhythmic AC and Throwback and Brand Manager of 94.7 The Block, Audacy. “We’re excited to deepen our listeners’ understanding of this historic format through Mic and Jazzie’s insightful perspective and give a platform to legacy artists to share their journey in the genre.”
Fox has held key roles as a radio Program Director and as a marketing executive at Atlantic Records, Island Def Jam, and TVT Records. In 2009, he played a pivotal role in launching Vevo as part of Universal Music Group. In 2016, he founded the creative agency BLURRED SPACES. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Digital Strategy and Content at Emmis Communications.
With over ten years of experience, Belle began her career in radio co-hosting alongside the late DJ Kay Slay on Eminem’s Shade 45 channel on SiriusXM. In 2017, she launched the Women in Hip-Hop podcast—now picked up by the Revolt Podcast Network—to spotlight the contributions of women in the industry. She continues that mission with curated segments on “rapfabulous.” Belle has also served as a host and red carpet correspondent for BET Networks and Vibe.com, covering A-list celebrity news and interviews. She’s currently a contributing entertainment journalist for PIX11 News and host of TheInsideHollywood.net, where she spotlights Hollywood’s key players and their journeys to inspire the next generation of dreamers.
