Audacy Honored with Public Education Lifesaver Award

On Thursday May 4, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention recognized our life-saving I’m Listening program and our continued support of mental health with a Public Education Lifesaver Award during their annual AFSP Gala in New York.

Through our partnership with AFSP, we host I’m Listening: Talk Saves Lives across all of our stations and have worked with them to bring positive messaging around mental health both to our team and our listeners.

AFSP’s gala honors those that have gone above and beyond in drawing attention to the cause of suicide prevention, elevating public discourse around mental health and suicide, and successfully creating actual change within our society to end this leading cause of death.

Audacy’s (and former NFL running back) Tiki Barber presented the award, which COO Susan Larkin accepted on behalf of the Audacy team. Also honored at the event was actor, author, and mental health advocate Ashley Judd, who received the Survivor of Suicide Loss Lifesaver Award in honor of her work following her mother’s death, Naomi Judd, to suicide.
