PHILADELPHIA, PA – May 12, 2022 – Audacy hosted its inaugural “Leading Ladies,” presented by Stella Rosa Wines, on Wednesday, May 11 at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. The all-female country music event, part of Audacy’s multi-faceted partnership with Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming, featured performances from Carly Pearce, Gabby Barrett, Lainey Wilson, Lauren Alaina, Morgan Wade, Tenille Arts and Priscilla Block.
Portions of the event’s proceeds benefitted DoSomething.org, a nonprofit fueling young people to change the world by taking action on the most pressing issues to them.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate this next chapter of our partnership with Hard Rock International and spotlight the talented women in country music at our inaugural ‘Leading Ladies,’” said Michael Martin, Senior Vice President of Programming and Music Initiatives, Audacy. “We’re equally as proud to stand alongside DoSomething.org and leverage our voice to encourage young people to use theirs for cultural issues important to them.”
On a clear night in south Florida, country music’s rising stars shone at Audacy’s “Leading Ladies” at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Priscilla Block got the crowd moving with her empowering hits “Thick Thighs” and “My Bar.” Morgan Wade and Tenille Arts struck a heartfelt tone for the show, advocating for mental health awareness and serenading fans with Wade’s “The Night” and Arts’ “Growing Old Young.” The swagger from all four all-star acts on stage defined the second half of the night. Lauren Alaina’s boastful renditions of “Getting Over Him” and “One Beer” brought the crowd to their feet. Lainey Wilson kept up the energy up with her own No. 1 tune, “Never Say Never” and showcased her hometown roots on “Rolling Stone.” Gabby Barrett flashed her comedy talents bantering with the crowd and goading Lainey Wilson to launch into a rap song to entertain the fans. And that was all before she performed “The Good Ones” with her husband Cade while the crowd sang the chorus back to her. Delivering on her promise to ‘shut South Florida down,’ Barrett brought the house together to sing her smash hit, “I Hope.” Carly Pearce held down the night with her current No. 1 single “Never Wanted to Be That Girl”. A fiery performance of “I Hope You’re Happy Now” had the crowd swaying and clapping along, closing a night of powerful music from these talented women.
