Veterans & service member
Our commitment
We owe our veterans and service members our recognition, our thanks, and our support. By focusing on issues that impact this community the most — wellbeing, employment, and education – we honor the men, women, and families who make the biggest sacrifices for our country while serving at home or abroad, and help them navigate the transition back to civilian life.
ConnectingVets.com
Created by a team of dedicated veterans, Connectingvets.com uses stories of inspiration and perseverance to bring together service members and veterans. The site offers daily original content and key resources that help veterans transition to civilian life, stay informed, and succeed. A series of podcasts and shows – including VetStory, To War and Back, The Back Brief, and Eye on Veterans – provides additional information and stories from the “battlefield of life.”
Stars & Strings
The soul of Country music rises up in celebration to our nation’s military heroes. Over the last six years, we have raised more than $250,000 for causes dedicated to honoring and helping veterans and their families.
In honor of the 20th anniversary of 9/11, Stars & Strings benefited 9/11Day.org raising awareness for national day of service in remembrance of 9/11. View More.
Fisher House
Friends of Fisher House Puget Sound work tirelessly to meet the needs of military families throughout Washington. The organization offers a “home away from home” where families can stay— at no cost — and support their loved ones who are receiving specialized military hospital/VA medical care. In 2009, the iconic KISW afternoon show, The Men’s Room, partnered with Elysian Brewing to create Men’s Room beers, with proceeds supporting this important cause. We are honored to assist our veterans and active military personnel in the Seattle area, and have raised more than $900,000 to date.
Travis Manion Foundation
Travis Manion Foundation empowers veterans and families of the fallen to find an increased sense of community, fulfillment, meaning, and purpose during and after their military service. Since 2011, Audacy has supported the Travis Manion Foundation by elevating its “If not me, then who?” mantra within the community. We have run alongside service members at the Heroes 9/11 run, supported families of fallen heroes through our Operation Legacy, and donated more than $400,000 to support veteran-led character development programs.
