PHILADELPHIA, PA – January 28, 2025 – Leading premium podcast network Audacy Podcasts today announced the launch of “Campus Files,” an original weekly podcast series exploring college scandals – from the most famous to the little known, both historical and contemporary.

“Campus Files” will launch on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 on the Audacy app and everywhere podcasts are available. New episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays. Listen to the trailer and follow the show here

College holds a mythic place in American culture, with its manicured quads, bustling lecture halls, and football rivalries. It’s often hailed as the best four years of your life and revered as a beacon of integrity and excellence. But, beyond the scripted campus tours and glossy brochures, lies a far more complicated reality, with scandals involving Greek life hazing, academic plagiarism, rigged admissions, and athletics. These are the stories that “Campus Files” will explore.

Each week, host Margo Gray will delve into a different higher education scandal, including: how UNC protected its athletic dominance with fake classes and a shadow curriculum to keep athletes eligibles; Harvard’s “Secret Court Files,” a little-known secret disciplinary tribunal convened in 1920 to investigate and punish students for being “guilty” of homosexuality; the  entrenched segregation within the University of Alabama’s Greek system; the story of Dr. Carmen Puliafito, a drug-peddling former USC Professor and dean of USC’s Keck School of Medicine; the pornographic double life led by former University of Wisconsin – La Crosse chancellor Joe Gow and his wife; the tragic hazing death of Cornell sophomore George Desdunes; and Columbia University’s “US News & World Report” rankings scandal stemming from the school’s practice of submitting flawed data.

“As we continue to expand our slate of powerful and captivating originals, we’re thrilled to launch ‘Campus Files,’” said Maddy Sprung-Keyser, VP, Head of Original Podcasts, Audacy. “The compelling stories we cover in this series highlight the ways college campuses encompass and represent a fascinating snapshot of human nature and our culture at large.”

“Campus Files” is hosted by Margo Gray and  produced by Ian Mandt, Elliott Adler, and Gray. Executive producers and story editors are Maddy Sprung-Keyser and Lloyd Lochridge. “Campus Files” is edited, mixed and mastered by Chris Basil and Andy Jaskiewicz. Original theme music by James Waterman and Davy Sumner.
