Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon
Since 2002, WEEI-FM has partnered with the Jimmy Fund, Boston Red Sox, and New England Sports Network to produce its annual radio-telethon supporting pediatric and adult cancer care and research.
WEEI’s legacy of tremendous impact has raised nearly $60 million for the Jimmy Fund over the past two decades, benefiting Nobel Prize-winning research, advancements in immunotherapy, and successful clinical trials at Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Annual Radiothon
Over the holiday season, seven Audacy Country brands hosted local radiothons as part of the St. Jude Country Cares for Kids radiothon. Station personalities featured heroic stories of families fighting childhood cancer and encouraged fans to become Partners in Hope. With listeners’ help, the campaign raised more than $3.2 million in 2021. Since Chicago’s US99 began hosting this program 29 years ago, it has helped generate more than $29 million in support for the lifesaving work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Children’s Miracle Network
Our commitment to local children’s hospitals spans decades. Each year, dozens of our local brands support Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in our communities around the country. In 2021 alone, our 16 local radiothons raised more than $6 million for local hospitals supporting our families coping with childhood illness.
