U.S. 101 in Chattanooga Recognized for Annual “Heart Strings for Hope” Event

PHILADELPHIA, PA – June 14, 2019 – Entercom, a leading media and entertainment company and one of the two largest radio broadcasters in the U.S., was honored by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with the 2019 Spotlight Award. The award recognized the fundraising efforts of country station U.S. 101 (WUSY-FM)’s annual “Heart Strings for Hope” event which has raised over $1 million for St. Jude over the course of a decade. U.S. 101 was honored at the charity’s annual “Volunteer Awards Dinner” in Memphis, TN on June 12.

U.S. 101 has supported St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital since 1994 and has raised over $8 million through various initiatives.  Annual events include the “St. Jude Rodeo,” “Country Cares for St. Jude Radiothon,” the “Tony O’Rear Bowl for Life Tournament” and the aforementioned “Heart Strings for Hope” event.
